A Unique Perspective on Gravity: A Poetic Exploration
Written on
Understanding Gravity Through Poetry
It often leaves me in wonder,
how while lying down,
the eye closer to the pillow wells with tears,
while the distant one remains dry.
In this moment of reflection,
for the very first time,
I stumble upon the answer:
tear ducts and the force of gravity.
The lower eye never drains
into my tear ducts,
but instead spills tears
onto the pillow beneath me.
Conversely, the upper eye drains
into my tear ducts,
perhaps more swiftly than usual,
as my head tilts,
allowing gravity to pull tears
directly into the drain,
rather than letting them rest
and circulate around my eyelids.
Sometimes,
all it takes is a moment of solitude
to ponder and reflect,
and allow one eye to weep
while the other remains dry.
