Incorporating small changes into your daily routine can lead to significant improvements in your overall well-being. As someone navigating life with ADD, I often find myself battling impulsiveness and a lack of focus. However, about six months ago, I implemented a simple action plan: completing three manageable tasks each day—not for anyone else, but for my own happiness.
Meditation: A Moment of Mindfulness
I dedicate 5 to 20 minutes daily to meditation, a practice I’ve engaged in for over six years. Establishing this routine has become a cherished part of my day, allowing me to take a few moments to center my thoughts and elevate my mood. A big shoutout to Peloton for helping me maintain this practice!

Reading: An Escape into New Realms
My goal is to read for at least five minutes daily. However, once I delve into a book, it's hard to stop at just five! In my teenage years, I was an avid reader, devouring three books a week. College saw me reading nightly, but somewhere along the line, I lost that habit. Now, I’ve made reading a priority again, as it immerses me in different worlds and provides valuable self-improvement insights.
Exercise: Moving for Joy and Health
To keep things simple, I aim to exercise for just ten minutes a day. On those days when motivation dips, this rule makes it easier to stay active. Ten minutes can quickly turn into a longer session, and some days, I find myself engaging in a 15 to 30-minute Peloton ride or spending 60 to 90 minutes at an aerial studio. What’s most crucial is staying active and enjoying the endorphins that come from movement. If you’re feeling down, a little exercise might just lift your spirits!
