The harrowing story of Jennifer Pan begins with her parents, Huei Hann Pan and Bich Ha Pan, who immigrated to Canada from Vietnam. Hann and Bich, determined to give their children the best, became typical "tiger parents," pushing their kids towards high academic and extracurricular success. This strict parenting style, characterized by high expectations, often led to immense pressure on the children.
