Embracing Seasonal Changes: 5 Habits I'm Enjoying Lately
Written on
Chapter 1: Welcoming Spring
As the warmth of spring gradually arrives, I find myself anticipating the shift in seasons. During my morning stroll, I noticed the trees beginning to sprout tiny buds, ready to unveil their vibrant blossoms in the weeks ahead. Emerging from the chilly Canadian winter, where the weather fluctuates between sunny and gloomy, I've been intentional about cultivating small, positive habits in my daily routine. Here are a few that I have truly cherished:
Section 1.1: Morning Bible Study
Starting my day with a cup of tea, fresh fruit, and either my Bible or a Bible app has become my cherished morning ritual. This practice helps me feel grounded and focused, especially on days when I skip it.
Subsection 1.1.1: Journaling
Building on my morning Bible study, I have recently incorporated journaling into my routine. This practice varies each day: sometimes I jot down verses I studied, other times I list valuable insights I've gained, and occasionally, I plan my day ahead. I'm enjoying how this habit is evolving as I become more consistent.
Section 1.2: Enjoying the Outdoors
With spring's arrival, I relish spending more time outside. Morning walks are a favorite of mine, but if that’s not feasible, I try to take a stroll later in the day. As the temperatures rise, I look forward to reading and writing in the park or enjoying lunch outdoors.
Chapter 2: New Learning Experiences
In this video titled "5 Things I've Been Loving Lately | Nov. 2016," the creator shares their personal favorites and habits that have enriched their life. From self-care routines to hobbies, it's a source of inspiration for anyone looking to enhance their daily practices.
Section 2.1: Audiobooks
Traditionally, I’ve preferred physical books over eBooks, and eBooks over audiobooks. However, in recent months, I've started listening to audiobooks while cooking, cleaning, or walking. I recently completed "Think Again" by Adam Grant and "Essentialism" by Greg McKeown, both of which have inspired me significantly.
Section 2.2: Learning Korean with Duolingo
Language acquisition was never my strong suit during school. After five years of Spanish, I only reached a basic conversational level, which I've since largely forgotten. Thus, it came as a surprise when I downloaded the Duolingo app, reset my long-forgotten password, and began learning Korean just for the fun of it. I appreciate this hobby for its lack of pressure and expectations.
The second video titled "5 Things I've Been Loving Lately | Dec. 2016" continues the exploration of personal favorites, shedding light on simple joys that can enhance one's daily life.
