Unlocking the Law of Coherence for Your Dreams

Chapter 1: The Importance of Coherence
In the journey of manifesting our desires, grasping the significance of the Law of Coherence is crucial.
A few years back, a reader reached out after engaging with one of my articles, seeking guidance on how to turn his dreams into reality. Upon evaluating his situation, I realized he needed to complement his visualizations with the Law of Coherence. It became evident that he wasn't just falling short of his aspirations; he was inadvertently causing himself harm. The blessing of visualization could turn into a curse if one is unprepared for its realization.
The reader's goal was straightforward: after spending 17 years as a kitchen assistant at a well-known pizza chain, he aspired to become a manager. “I'm nearing 40, and I can't bear to have younger colleagues bossing me around. I need my employer to recognize my value and promote me,” he expressed during our Skype call, struggling to hold back tears.
As I listened, I couldn't help but wonder how someone could remain in a position for nearly two decades without promotion, especially when others were advancing within months. My curiosity piqued, I decided to delve deeper into his situation, becoming what I jokingly referred to as a "spiritual detective."
Section 1.1: Analyzing the Situation
Through multiple conversations over the next few months, the truth began to unfold. While the reader diligently engaged in vision boards, journaling, and affirmations, he lacked consistency in his requests to the universe.
One crucial aspect of manifestation is the emotional alignment with your desires. The idea is not merely to feel good about your dreams but to embody the behavior of someone who has already achieved them.
For instance:
- Dream 1: Author a book. Emotion 1: Feel like a published writer. Purpose of Emotion 1: Start writing.
- Dream 2: Get fit. Emotion 2: Feel like a healthy individual. Purpose of Emotion 2: Commit to a diet and join a gym.
Without taking action, manifestation remains a distant dream. This concept must be firmly understood.
Subsection 1.1.1: The Reader's Misstep
The reader's critical error lay in his belief; he did not see himself as the person he aspired to be, and consequently, he did not act accordingly. He wished to take charge yet lacked control over his own life, neglecting his home and responsibilities.
“How can you manage a pizza place if you can't even tidy your own room?” I asked him once, prompting an emotional response.
Section 1.2: The Role of Consistency
The Stoics recognized that our brains gravitate toward what seems rational. Therefore, making the illogical—what you wish to manifest—appear logical is pivotal.
“Your current self cannot become a manager,” I reiterated to him. “You need to evolve into a different version of yourself to make that a logical outcome.”
Chapter 2: Transformative Actions
In this insightful video, Lewis Howes discusses why the Law of Attraction may seem ineffective and how understanding coherence can shift your perspective.
In this follow-up, Lewis Howes explores actionable steps to align your mindset with your goals, emphasizing the importance of coherence in manifesting success.
After our conversations, I encouraged the reader to maintain his vision boards while committing an hour each morning to clean his space. He complied. I then suggested he prioritize caring for his father and update his wardrobe to reflect a managerial persona. He followed suit.
It felt reminiscent of Mr. Miyagi teaching karate through simple tasks. Ultimately, a manager faltered in their duties, and the reader was given an opportunity, successfully stepping into the managerial role (albeit briefly). Today, he operates his own pizza establishment.
Application to Your Life
When you start acting as if you are the person you aspire to be, doors will begin to open in your favor. This principle works because humans are inherently drawn to coherence, logic, and reason.
The reader's newfound ownership of his life led to enhanced self-confidence and self-esteem, which did not go unnoticed by those around him, including his employer. Ultimately, it became clear to his boss that promoting him was the most logical decision after 17 years of dedication and a shift in attitude.
Moral: One cannot achieve greatness while leading a life of mediocrity; the two are inherently contradictory. By focusing on becoming the person who embodies your ideal life, you will inevitably manifest that reality, as it is the only logical outcome in a universe governed by cause and effect.
