For over four months, I’ve maintained a journaling practice, and the transformation in my life has been extraordinary. This habit is something I wish I had embraced much earlier. However, this article isn’t a guide on what journaling entails; rather, it focuses on a specific prompt that could lead to substantial financial gain by tapping into your passions, creativity, and potential business opportunities.

The prompt that countless entrepreneurs utilize to generate significant income is:

“If I Had Unlimited Funds, What Work Would I Pursue for Free?”

How to Implement This Prompt

First, envision your ideal day:

To respond to this, you must be sincere with yourself and visualize what your “Dream Day” looks like. Reflect on the details: What activities do you engage in from morning till night? What forms of entertainment or productive tasks fill your time? Write these reflections down.

Next, consider the tasks from your envisioned day:

Imagine being a billionaire with unlimited resources. Sure, you might indulge in luxury like mansions and yachts, but after a while, these pleasures become routine. Think about what work you would still choose to do, beyond financial incentives. What activities would you pursue purely for enjoyment?

This exploration will reveal a task you’re willing to do for free—something that brings you fulfillment without the expectation of monetary reward. For me, this turned out to be writing, reading, and speaking.

Steps to Monetize Your Passion

Identifying this activity can guide you on your path to income generation. If the work you are passionate about can also be monetized, dive in wholeheartedly! Commit substantial hours—up to 12 a day—into developing this passion. Since this endeavor brings you joy, you won't be bogged down by thoughts of whether you love it or if it will pay off.

However, if your chosen task doesn’t have clear monetization paths, you may need to initially focus on earning an income first. Fortunately, there are numerous opportunities available today that allow you to earn while pursuing your interests.

For me, writing, speaking, and reading are lifelong passions. Here’s how I turned these into income streams:

• Writing: Publish articles online, such as on Medium, or start your own blog.
• Speaking: Launch a coaching business.
• Reading: Although I never considered monetizing my reading, it enriches my knowledge and inspires my writing.

Learning from Successful Influencers

When you delve deeply into this journaling prompt, you’ll notice that successful figures like Andrew Tate, IShowSpeed, Iman Gadzhi, Alex Hormozi, and Ali Abdaal have all found ways to monetize their passions without overthinking it, resulting in substantial income.

Take IShowSpeed, for instance. He has a passion for gaming, live streaming on YouTube, humor, and music. He did not initially plan to start a business; instead, he discovered ways to earn from what he loves. His success is a testament to pursuing what you enjoy.
