It's crucial to establish a routine that suits your lifestyle. While we might admire fitness enthusiasts and their early morning workouts, such schedules are not always practical. Many of us juggle responsibilities like getting children ready for school or commuting to work early in the morning. So, what’s the alternative? Do we really want to rise at 4 AM? It’s a possibility, but often unrealistic after a late night.

Thus, we often postpone our exercise plans. I can relate to that sentiment; it’s a common struggle. I’ve discovered a method that works for me. I seize every opportunity to walk. A quick 10-minute stroll after lunch? Absolutely! A post-dinner walk or opting to walk instead of taking public transport—count me in!

On those hectic days, a brisk walk is sufficient. I even invested in a walking pad for days when working from home or when it’s too chilly outside. On quieter days, I indulge in yoga, strength training, or a step class, treating myself to these activities as a form of self-care.

Nutritionally, I prefer simplicity: a diet rich in protein, balanced healthy fats, and carbohydrates, primarily from vegetables for fiber, complemented by either potatoes or rice. As for hydration, I alternate between coffee and water in the mornings, enjoying a variety of teas throughout the day while saving low or no caffeine options for the evening. And let’s not overlook the importance of water, even though it can slip our minds sometimes.

Ultimately, remember that this is your personal journey. Adapt it to your life rather than the other way around.
